Extreme Makeover Home Edition - Public Tours

The Extreme Makeover home was open to the public for tours this past weekend. We were asked to provide a few more flowers for the tours. Here is Tobin getting ready for the house to be opened.
We placed some orchids in the master bedroom. I love the colors of the wall.
A nice tropical arrangement of Birds of Paradise for the kitchen.
Jolene's room. Too Cute.
This time we made Strawberry "Ice Cream" dishes for her room.
What a great experience for us to be involved in. It was a wonderful opportunity and I am so glad we were able to help.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition - Rudy & Dallas' Room

Vrooom, Vrooom, a race car theme for the boys to share, wouldn't be complete without a floral stoplight. Red carnations, yellow roses and green dianthus make our stoplight.
Silver, Silver dollar eucalyptus is housed in a container that is filled with recycled tire mulch.
Here we placed the eucalyptus in a container that reminded me of a radiator.
All the pieces grouped together.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition - T.J.'s Room

T.J.'s room focused on his artistic ability & comic books. We laminated some pages from a super hero book, and used them to hide the mechanics of our floral arrangements.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition - Jolene's Room

The Designer's decided to give Jolene a 1950's Pink Diner. We immediately thought of records, and milkshakes. Here is Abbey & Theresa preparing some of the records.
Abbey helped make the pink Carnation milkshakes.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition - VIP Viewing Party

Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Gainesville aired Sunday, February 21 on ABC. We were invited by Amy at Adore Events to help with the VIP Viewing Party at the Gainesville Women's Club. Unforgettable Events was in charge of the decor, with a little help from some of our pieces.
Tobin Wagstaff brought a guitar to be signed by people who helped with the build. Behind the guitar is a 30 year old drum he had refurbished with pictures from the build. What a great display piece.
Here I am with Tobin after the party (minus the Mohawk).
A nice way to say thank you to some of the contibutors. A good time was had by all.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition - Delivery Day

Monday was the day. We all got to work early to do finishing touches on our arrangements, so that we would be ready for our 10 am delivery time. (We still can't show you want we made. We have to wait until the show airs.) We got to drive right on up to the house, and had volunteers help us unload everything.
Here is the front of the house, with just a few finishing touches left to do.
Eduardo was super nice and posed with us for pictures. His rooms were the most complete, and we helped him set out arrangements & plants.

We left before the reveal, but we got a feel for the excitement of the time crunch before the Wagstaff family came home.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition-Design Meeting

We arrived at the site, and sent to the VIP tent, which was decorated by Keith Watson Productions. While waiting we ran into one of my 2007 Brides, Alison. Alison, pregnant with twins was there the volunteer, and will be there a few more times. We eventually made our way over to the design production trailer, where we meet Lisa Marie, Corey, Eva & designer Eduardo Xol.
The meeting was fast & furious.....we were shown the room designs, themes & colors. It was a lot to take in, in just a few moments. I asked to go over everything one more time. As we walked away from the trailer I asked.......
What have I gotten myself into?????
That is the question I seem to ask myself alot lately. It was a little overwhelming for Theresa & I. Usually after meeting a bride & discussing wedding flowers, I mull over the notes for a few days & then come up with ideas. Well in this case I only had hours to come up with ideas and flower choices. I turned in my flower order around midnight last night, and today I am going to collect vases and get everything organized. We are scheduled to deliver the flowers Monday around 1pm. To keep updated check out Ark Remodeling & Construction's site: Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Gainesville.
