Amber & Andrew: The Flowers

Amber & Andrew had a down home wedding, with sunflowers being the theme.
Here is a corsage made of viking mums, which look like mini sunflowers, tied with a rafia bow.
Both the corsage and the bout below were accented with hypericum berries.
The bridesmaids bouquets were linear sunflowers, with tree fern & hypericum, tied with rafia.
Amber's bouquet was a round handtied bouquet.
Here is the fabulous favor that was lovingly homemade for the guest to take home & "Spread the Love", a jar of Strawberry Jam.

A Rustic Affair

Justine & Mike chose Rustic Manor as the site for their wedding & reception. Justine stopped by to take a look at her flowers, she had chosen a fall theme for the day. The ceremony was held under the oak trees at Rustic Manor. We lined the aisle with flowers in mason jars, and hung falling leaves from the trees. Justine's bouquet was hand tied with brown ribbon, and had a locket attached with pictures of her grandparents inside. The bridal bouquet was made of roses, sunflowers, billy balls, purple majesty, alstromeria, hypericum & curly willow. Her bridesmaids bouquets were similar, but just a little different. Here all the bouquets sit, along with the fall leaves that the flower girl will be dropping.Since sunflowers are too large for a boutonniere, we used viking daisies in their place. The groom wore a Circus rose, which held special meaning for him.I can't wait to see the images that Photo 35 captured of the day.

Dawn McKinstry Photography

Little did I know that when I did the flowers for Dawn & Bill's wedding in November 2007, that we would meet again as vendors. Dawn is now a photographer, and photographed my friend Emily & Paul's wedding in Sarasota. I know I have posted their wedding before, but thought it would be nice to show the "official" photographs by Dawn.

A Cedar Key Wedding

Dawn & Bill's ceremony was held in Cedar Key, Florida in November 2007. They chose the combination of white, blue & brown for their bridal colors. Hydrangea, delphinium & hypericum were the flowers of choice for the day. We used seeded eucalyptus for the greenery.

Em & Paul's Day

First I thought I would share a shot of Em helping me make some of her flowers. She along with Teri, Mike, Sarah, my mom & my dad put together all of her flowers.

Here she is with her Uncle Matt on rehearsal day. (Don't you love the practice bouquet I put together for her.)
Here they are walking down the steps toward Paul.

Here is everyone standing under the arbor during the ceremony. Can you tell that Abbey has heard enough? Last time she was a flower girl she sat down during the ceremony, before joining me in a pew. This time she stayed up there, but she played with everything.....Em's dress, her kissing ball, and the flowers on the arbor. At one time she flung the kissing ball over she shoulder. I guess we were lucky it stayed together so nicely.
Not a cloud in the sky. What a perfect day for a perfect couple.
Paul sported a bout of stephanotis. Emily carried a bouquet of stephanotis, roses, spray roses, antique green hydrangea, hypericum berries with a few salal leaves. The stems were wrapped in antique white ribbon, and pinned with an antique brooch we picked up one weekend.

Prom Time

We have two extended members of the family (Abbey's babysitters), who just went to their Senior Prom. I had the honor of doing their corsages. Maygen wore a gown of blue, with some sparkling crystals. I used delphinium to create her corsage & bout.

Here she is...
Bri's dress was a bold pattern of different shades of blue, white & lime green. She wanted a lot of bling in her corsage. I used green dendrobium orchids, teal ribbon & bling to create her corsage.
As a final touch we added some crystals to Bri's hair.
Here is Bri's completed look.

Rain Rain Went Away.

The rain went away for Stefanie & Andrew. Their rainy afternoon was just one of many we were to experience for the next week. I thought I'd add a few more pictured from their day. Here is Abbey modeling the flower girl flower crown.
And here is the flower girl.....what a cutie.
Here are the kissing balls we lined the aisle with. Thanks Theresa for making all 10 of them. We used white cushion mums, and for a touch of blue some spray roses, that were airbrushed.
Here is one of the groomsmen showing off his bouts, made of blue delphinium, and a salal leaf.
Here is the fantastic cake made by Jenny Wagner at Cakes by Jenny.
A candy bar was set up for guests to enjoy. It showcased Andrew & Stefanie's favorite candies.
Here is a final view of the ceremony site, with the dark clouds in the background. Luckily the shower was over quickly.
