Rachel and Phong; A March Wedding
Rachel and Phong were married back on March 20, 2011 at the Baughman Center and had their reception at the Best Western Gateway Grand. I love Rachel's bouquet, which was made up of white calla lillies with red roses inside. The bouquet was accented with some silver as well.
Her bridesmaids bouquets, which are also shown below, were made up of hand-tied roses. I'm loving all the red--so beautiful!
At their reception, Rachel and Phong's centerpieces were made up of three cylinder vases filled with floating red tulips, red orchids and red roses. I love the variety each vase brings to the table. Did you know these vases are available for rental? Contact us for more information!
Our friends at Platinum Digital Video also posted a blog about Rachel and Phong's Wedding! You can see it by and watch a video teaser by clicking here!! They posted this beautiful photo collage of the wedding and reception and we had to share it with you!
Congratulations Rachel and Phong! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. Thank you for letting The Plant Shoppe be part of your special day!

And finally, check out this gorgeous cake by Ms. Debbie. We added the hydrangeas, as a topper and an accent on the side. Look at that beautiful detailing!

Heather & Timothy
Heather & Timothy were wed this past weekend at The Baughman Center. Hot pink & ivory were the colors of the day. Heather Wanted to use calla lilies, but with a little twist. We airbrushed the calla lilies with a hot pink. Below are the bridesmaids & bridal bouquets. Heather carried a mix of hydrangea, gerbera daisy, roses & alstromeria.
Here are the handsome men in her bridal party. Notice the gray skies in the background. They do say, rainy wedding day leads to a prosperous marriage.
Here are the lovely place settings that awaited guests at The Rustic Manor for the reception.
This is the best that the stage at Rustic Manor has ever looked. What a great job decorating.
We accented the cake with a little ivory & hot pink.

Joanna & Tim
We had a super fun wedding this past weekend. The bride & groom came down from Massachusetts for their ceremony at The Baughman Center & reception at Sweetwater Branch Inn. After my only meeting with Joanna and her mom, I knew we were going to have some fun. One of the first things they told me, is that they wanted to use beer for the centerpieces.
A fun bonus of putting the bottles inside vases full of water, was the magnification of the labels. Shades of orange & brown were colors of the day. To add orange to the reception we (I mean Terry) hung orange lanterns both inside & outside at Sweetwater.

I caught Jenny Wagner from Cakes by Jenny setting up the cake.
The stars on the cake & the paper lantern stars are appropriate, as the bride is an astronomer. More to come tomorrow.

Michelle & Justin
Bright & cheery were the colors of the day on Saturday, when Michelle & Justin were wed at The Baughman Center. Michelle brought me a picture, that she wanted her flowers fashioned after. A frosted vase, filled with Gerber daisy, roses & wax flower. Her bouquet is made of yellow roses, wrapped with a section of her shawl. The bridesmaids are orange & fuchsia Gerber daisy, yellow roses & purple wax flower.
Here is Michelle & Justin as they arrive at The Paramount Plaza Hotel for their reception
Michelle provided me with frosted vases for the centerpieces. She was not able to find frosted faces that she liked, so they frosted them. The arrangements were replicas of the bridesmaids bouquets, except yellow spray roses were used for a fuller look.
Cakes by Jenny provided the cupcake tower, which was used instead of a traditional wedding cake.
There was a special treat for their young guests at the reception.
Just thought I'd show you all the centerpieces, before they were delivered.

Armida & Eric
Armida & Eric were wed on a glorious January day. Periwinkle blue & white were the colors of the day. Armida provided me with some bling to add to her bouquet.
The Bouquet is made of Hydrangea & Delphenium.

For her attendants, we did wrist corsages of white spray roses.

Kristen & Raymond
Kristen & Raymond just celebrated their 1 year anniversary, and I thought I'd share some of the images from their big day. Ivory & green were the colors of the day. Kristen's bouquet was made of calla lily.
Here is a detail of the wrap used on her bouquet. It is part of her dress that left over, once alterations were made.

It's Hip to be Square!!
At least it is if you are Marisa & Joe. Marisa ended up having as many items square as possible for her wedding. From the gems on her bouquet, to the kissing square (kissing ball) to the vases. I am not sure if she planned it that way or it just happened.

I still haven't come up with a good name for these vases, and everytime to talk to a bride about them, a silly little smile comes to my face. Rob, thanks for the pics and to A'vie to for bringing me such a square bride.

When Marisa tried to explain the centerpieces to me, she said she wanted square cylinder vases. I cocked my head to the side, with a "what are you talking about" look on my face. She said you know, tall squares vases, like a cylinder. I have never had so much fun laughing with a bride over what something is called. One group of centerpieces are show below. A square mirror, with square votive holders and square (cylinder) vases with floating petals & candles.

Rachel & Jason
Sage, Black & Ivory were the colors Rachel picked for her wedding to Jason this past Saturday. Leah at Celebrations Catering & I help her pick hot pink as an accent, a little punch of color. Rachel wanted a small cascade for her bouquet. Her bouquet was made of roses, spray roses, trachelium, hypericum, plumosa fern & sinesis. A few pearls were added to accent the flowers.
Her maid of honor's bouquet was hand tied, of roses, hypericum & sinenis.
Rachel picked out the cutest topper, one of which I had never seen before. I added a few flowers, including cymbidium orchids, dendrobium orchids, spray roses, & trachelium.
The guest tables had pictures of the happy couple as they were growing up. A vase, with black rocks and dendrobium orchids were added to the tables for a punch of color.
